My research topic is the compiler optimizations for DSP/VLIW/Media like embedded processors. I work in collaboration with STmicroelectronics' MCDT team for the ST200 family DSP processors. My current research work is focused on SSA-based optimizations, code compression, register allocation and instruction-cache optimizations both for just-in-time, ahead-of-time and split compilation. |

I have done my PhD thesis at the LIP
with Yves ROBERT and
Frédéric DESPREZ.
I worked on tiling methods for source-to-source program transformations. I then worked during two full years as an engineer at STmicroelectronics. I have done research work and developed compiler optimizations on the LAO (linear assembly optimizer) for ST100 family DSP process. I also worked on Pro64 for the LX family processors. |

Florent Bouchez (co-adviced with Alain Darte) has now defended his PhD Thesis: A Study of Spilling and Coalescing in Register Allocation as Two Separate Phases |

Benoit Boissinot is a PhD student. He studies SSA at code generation level for dynamic compilation |

My wife, Marie, is also a researcher (CR2 at CNRS) but in physics. More precisely she works on fluid mechanics at the École Centrale de Lyon. Our children, Yann, Elise, and Lucie have also their web page! | |||||

A few personal rock climbing routes at the Rocher du midi in Chartreuse opened with
Bruno Béatrix, Jérome Ruillier and Jean-Marie Taupin now have there own site here. I also opened nice ice-falls in Italy. I will take
some time to make a more exhaustive web page on it latter...
