L'équipe SISYPHE "Signaux, Systèmes et Physique"
du laboratoire de Physique de l'Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon 
propose un emploi post-doctoral de 12 mois, susceptible de commencer dès décembre 2008. 

Il s'agira de travailler dans l'un des thèmes de recherches suivants:
- analyse théorique de processus auto-similaires non Gaussiens à variance finie,
- théorie de l'analyse multifractale (applications aux images)
- compressed sensing
- tests de stationnarité
Les outils développés pourront être employés à l'analyse de signaux expérimentaux réels, issus soit de la physique, soit d'applications biomédicales.

Sera donnée préférence à un candidat ayant des compétences théoriques fortes en traitement statistique du signal et en manipulation des processus stochastiques. 
Des compétences en programmation seront également appréciées.

The SISYPH (Signals, Systems and Physics) research group, 
at the Physics Department of Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon,
offers a 12-months post doctoral position,
starting any time after December, 1st 2008. 

Research will be conducted in one of the following areas : 
- non Gaussian finite variance self similar processes,
- multifractal analysis theory (with applications to Image Processing)
- compressed sensing
- stationarity tests
The developed tools and procedures will be applied to the analysis of empirical data produced either by physics experiments or in biomedical contexts. 

Candidates with strong theoretical knowledges and abilities in Statistical Signal Processing and Stochastic Processes analysis will be favored. 
Also, computer and programming skills will be appreciated.
