Physics of phyto- and zoo-plankton

I will rule the world ! All hail Plankton !
Plankton organisms are the elementary constituents of the oceanic environment. They represent the bottom level of the food chain, and understanding their behaviour is therefore essential for fisheries research. They also play an important role in the global biogeochemical cycles, in particular the carbon cycle and thus in the regulation of Earth climate.
