Hydroperoxidized lipid membranes are softer – we knew that – but who would have guessed that they are more viscous?

In an effort just published in Communications Chemistry, combining experiments and numerical simulations, we teamed up with Marina Kuimova group at the Imperial College and her colleagues to study the unusual dynamic behaviour of  lipid bilayers assembled from hydroperoxidized POPC.
