Three-day workshop on structured and large scale optimization at ENS Lyon.
The workshop aims to bring together experts working on algorithms for structured and large-scale optimization, including their theoretical foundations, numerical implementation, and applications. Central to the workshop is the idea that leveraging the intrinsic structure of optimization problems can dramatically improve computational efficiency. Topics of interest include methods that exploit sparsity, hierarchical and multilevel structures, low-dimensional representations, decomposition techniques, and mixed-precision computations to reduce computational costs while maintaining robustness and accuracy.
