Foreword

After completing several internships in organometallic chemistry, total synthesis and supramolecular chemistry, I joined the group of Pr. Matthieu Sollogoub for my PhD. I worked on the synthesis of new confined organocatalysts confined within the cavity of cyclodextrins.
After defending, I joined the group of Dr. Thibault Cantat and worked under his and Dr. Lucile Anthore-Dalion’s supervision on the use of a confined carbene for amine formylation by CO₂ hydrosilylation.
During this time, my interest for boron was growing and growing! That’s why I joined the group of Pr. Guillaume Berionni in Namur. I worked on the synthesis of new boron-based Lewis acids for the activation of small molecules. One of my greatest achievements there is the formation of a bis-cationic boron center — hope you’ll see more about it soon.
After almost two years in Belgium, I regained France, this time at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon where I’m working with Dr. Jean-Pierre Dutasta and Dr. Nicolas De Rycke on the synthesis of new chiral molecular receptors for confined space catalysis.
