My research focuses on complex aerodynamics and hydrodynamics unsolved questions, in particular related to turbulent flows and out-equilibrium phenomena. On going investigations address transport, mixing and dispersion properties of particles and fields, and the multiple hydro/aerodynamical couplings involved.

  • Turbulence
  • Extreme events
  • Turbulent transport of particles and fields
  • Dense suspensions of particles
  • Active and drifting particles in complex flows
  • Fluid structure interactions
  • Aerodynamics and dronautics
  • Biomechanics and biomimetism of flapping flight
  • Magnetic particles in fluids and granular media

In addition to these research activities, I carry teaching activities at the International Master of Turbulence at Ecole Centrale de Lille and at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon as head of the Master 2 program « Physics, Concepts and Applications ».
