Softwares
- Information Theory for Signal Analysis (ITSA).
This Matlab toolbox illustrates the use of auto-mutual information (mutual information between subsets of the same signal) and entropy rate as powerful tools to assess refined dependencies of any order in signal temporal dynamics.
- Geographically Weighted Fractal Analysis (GWFA).
R package.
Performs Geographically Weighted Fractal Analysis (GWFA) to calculate the local fractal dimension of a set of points. GWFA mixes the Sandbox multifractal algorithm and the Geographically Weighted Regression. Unlike fractal box-counting algorithm, the sandbox algorithm avoids border effects because the boxes are adjusted on the set of points. The Geographically Weighted approach consists in applying a kernel that describes the way the neighbourhood of each estimated point is taken into account to estimate its fractal dimension. GWFA can be used to discriminate built patterns of a city, a region, or a whole country.

Wavelet p-Leader and Bootstrap based MultiFractal analysis (PLBMF)
This toolbox for MATLAB enables the (discrete) wavelet domain based multifractal analysis of (1d) signals and (2d) images, with bootstrap confidence intervals and significance tests, using wavelet p-leaders and wavelet leaders.
The toolbox is a generalization (to p-leaders based analysis) and significant update (to a more efficient code) of the wavelet leader based WLBMF toolbox.
- Wavelet Leaders in Multifractal Analysis (WLMF).
R package.
Analyzing the texture of an image from multifractal wavelet leader analysis.

Wavelet Leader and Bootstrap based MultiFractal analysis (WLBMF)
This toolbox for MATLAB enables the (discrete) wavelet domain based multifractal analysis of (1d) signals and (2d) images, with bootstrap confidence intervals and significance tests, using wavelet p-leaders and wavelet leaders.
The toolbox is a generalization (to p-leaders based analysis) and significant update (to a more efficient code) of the wavelet leader based WLBMF toolbox that has also been developed by members of the consortium.
The toolbox is self-contained and entirely written in MATLAB. Several demo files are included.
