Our team operates a small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS / WAXS) instrument at the Laboratoire de Chimie of ENS de Lyon.
Instrument
- Model: Xeuss 3.0 (Xenocs)
- X-ray source: copper anode (Cu Kα, λ = 1.54 Å)
- SAXS detector: Dectris Eiger 1M
- WAXS detector: Dectris Eiger2 500K
With two detectors, the instrument can probe structures from a few ångströms up to tens of nanometres, from atomic and crystalline order to the size, shape and organization of nanoscale objects.
Typical applications
- Size, shape and polydispersity of nanoparticles and colloids
- Self-assembly and superlattices of nanocrystals
- Liquid crystals, gels, micelles and other soft matter systems
- Crystalline phase and structure of powders and nanomaterials
Collaborations and service measurements
We are open to scientific collaborations as well as service measurements (prestations) for academic and industrial partners. If you are interested in using the platform, please contact Benjamin Abécassis to discuss your samples and measurement needs.
