Research

Over the past decade, I have built a creative line of research combining method development with innovative models to investigate reactions at the catalyst/water interface. I am strongly committed in major academic and industrial collaborations in the catalytic upgrade of bio-based chemicals with a strong ability to manage projects combining modelling and experiments. My expertise in now highly recognized in the field with two national prizes, renown academic and industrial experimental partners,  invited research seminars (including UCL, UK; uOttawa, Canada;  GeorgiaTech, USA, etc.) and  invited communications in International Conferences (ACS Meetings, ICTAC 17, 10th ISTCP, WATOC 2020; etc.).

1. Understanding the impact of water on the catalytic activity and stability

2. Developing methods to model reactions at the solid/liquid interface

3. Optimizing the catalytic activity by alloying and additives to upgrade biomass-derived molecules
