A new article published in the journal Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

How much oceanic crust detaches for subducted plates? How much remains trapped within the mantle transition zone ? We try to bring new constraints from seismic observations, and propose a new thermochemical model for the mantle.

Julie Rodet, PhD student at the Laboratoire de géologie de Lyon working on the project Distributed Acoustic Sensing Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (DASARA), received an award in the frame of the bootcamp EXPL’AURA, organized by PULSALYS, Linksium and Clermont Auvergne Innovation, the 3 Deep Tech incubators of Région Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

We propose a new temperature model for the transition zone using seismology and high-pressure mineral physics.

My project Distributed Acoustic Sensing Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (DASARA) has been funded by the région Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

  We will turn the telecommunication optic fiber network from Lyon metropole into a sensitive seismic antenna for geotechnical and civil engineering applications!
