I was happy to create a new course for the PhD students of ISTA. During their PhD, they need to obtain a given amount of credits (the exact number depends on whether they have a Master’s degree before starting). As ISTA is growing, so is the demand for new lectures. The course was followed by about a dozen participants, which is surprisingly a rather high number for this kind of lecture.
The evaluation was based on three quizzes and a final longer one. I like using several small quizzes as they help monitor the students’ level while avoiding long hours of homework. I prepared lecture notes which require proofreading before being shared broadly, but feel free to send me an email if you would like to discuss them!
